My stay at this hotel was pretty disappointing overall. The location is decent since it's close to downtown, which is a plus. However, the dormitory setup made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep due to noise. The cleanliness and maintenance left a lot to be desired. I guess, for the price, it could be worse, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I had a great experience staying at this hostel in San Francisco. The location was perfect, being within walking distance to popular spots like Pier 39 and Chinatown. The room was clean and cozy, which made for a comfortable stay. However, noise from other guests and cleaning staff was a bit disruptive, and I wished there was a mini fridge in the room for convenience.

Rooms

The double private room was exceptionally clean and cozy, although a bit small. I appreciated the efficient use of space.
Service

The reception staff was extremely helpful and answered all my questions.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to Union Hall, Chinatown, and Fisherman's Wharf, as well as close to cable car lines.

While the shared kitchen had a fridge, I would have preferred a mini fridge in my room for late-night snacks. Noise in the mornings from cleaning staff was noticeable.

The hostel offers a budget-friendly option in San Francisco, but there are some noticeable trade-offs. The rooms have some safety concerns, especially with rickety bunk beds, yet the location is central and convenient. While the breakfast consists of DIY pancakes, the overall cleanliness and comfort could use improvement, and the amenities are quite limited.

Rooms
5.0
The dorm room had uncomfortable and rickety bunk beds, with no ladders for top bunks and no lockable lockers. It felt a bit unsafe for climbing.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the availability of laundry after 5 PM, but there were issues with housekeeping during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location is central and easy to find, just a short walk uphill from the metro station.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast included making your own pancakes, which was a nice touch, but options were limited to just black coffee and pancake mix.
Facilities
5.0
There were computers available for use, which is a plus, but the overall facilities felt outdated and could benefit from new furniture.

The hostel offers a decent stay especially considering San Francisco's high prices. While the rooms were clean and had essentials like a TV and fridge, they did feel a bit worn and could use some updating. The social events were a fun touch, but the service could definitely be more welcoming. Overall, it provides good value for a budget-friendly option in a city where accommodations are costly.

Rooms
6.0
The queen room was clean and had a private bathroom, TV, and fridge. However, it felt a bit tired and in need of some updates.
Service
6.0
Some staff were friendly, but the reception could have had a warmer approach. I faced an issue with a deposit that didn't get resolved smoothly.
Location
7.0
The hostel is conveniently located within walking distance to many attractions, but be cautious of the nearby Tenderloin district.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was basic with a cook-your-own pancake setup. I found better breakfast options a short walk away.
Facilities
8.0
The communal kitchen was well-kept, and I appreciated the 24/7 availability of hot water and coffee.
